SCDOT Requests Public Comment on the 2024-2033 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to include a Bike and Pedestrian Bridge in York County
The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks public comment on the action to amend the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to include the construction of a pedestrian bridge in York County. SCDOT will receive public comment for a 21-day period from December 5, 2024 through December 25, 2024.
This project will include the construction of a bike and pedestrian bridge across Dave Lyle Boulevard and the adjacent railway. Once completed, the bridge will provide a safe path for bicyclists and pedestrians between the northern and southern areas of downtown Rock Hill. The bridge will improve safety for vehicular and non-vehicular traffic by reducing potential points of conflict. The cost for construction of the bridge is $10.1 million.
To assist those who do not have internet access, a printed copy of this press release and any supporting information is available for public review and comment at any of the South Carolina Department of Transportation District Offices and the South Carolina Council of Government Offices.
