The South Carolina Department of Transportation's Commission honored Secretary Christy Hall with the dedication of the interchange of I-20 and I-26 in Columbia as the "Secretary Christy A. Hall P.E. Interchange" ahead of her retirement from SCDOT.
Chair of the SCDOT Commission Pamela Christopher said, “The Commission knew we wanted to name the I-20 and I-26 interchange after Secretary Hall as a testament to her tireless work with SCDOT. We couldn’t think of a more perfect honor – this interchange is at the heart of our state, connecting South Carolinians together – in the same way that Secretary Hall’s thirty years of service and legacy will continue to serve the people here. Secretary Hall’s hard work and dedication to the state and people of South Carolina cannot be put into words. We wish her all the best and congratulate her on her retirement.”

Commission would choose this interchange to dedicate to me. This project has been a long time coming and one of the largest projects ever undertaken in the history of SCDOT. It has been a tremendous honor and privilege to lead this agency, working alongside the dedicated men and women of SCDOT to make real improvements in the lives of South Carolinians. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and look forward to the tremendous progress ahead for the Department of Transportation.”
The signs naming the interchange and dedicating it to Secretary Hall have already been installed at the intersection of I-26 and I-20. Carolina Crossroads, the project that includes the new Secretary of Transportation Christy A. Hall, P.E. Interchange, is one of the largest road improvement projects in the agency's history.
