Columbia, S.C. (December 1, 2023) - Starting the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 5, the east entrance to Rice Meadow Way from Hard Scrabble Road (S-83) will be temporarily closed for construction.
The construction area on Rice Meadow Way is approximately 400 feet long, starting at Hard Scrabble Road. The construction is a part of the Hard Scrabble Road widening project and will include drain installation and paving. The closure is expected to last through the week.
D etour Information
D rivers traveling south on Hard Scrabble Road may continue toward Lee Road, turn right, and continue west toward Rice Creek Farms Road. Drivers may then turn right, and arrive at the west entrance of Rice Meadow Way.
SCDOT asks drivers in the area to slow down, use caution, and follow signage.
