O n Wednesday, Sept. 13, SCDOT will begin work to replace the bridge on S.C. 124 (Old Easley Highway) over Georges Creek in Pickens County. A signed detour will be in place throughout construction.

Replacing the bridge will allow SCDOT to lift load restrictions and will repair roadway approaches, improve drainage, and ensure all bridge components are in optimal condition for motorists. The new bridge is expected to be complete in the summer of 2024. More information is available on the project website.
