The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a Public Information Meeting for the proposed replacement of the S-152 (Manning Avenue) Bridge over CSX, formerly SCL, Railroad. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the James E Clyburn Intermodal Transit Center Pavilion, located at 129 S. Harvin St, Sumter, SC 29150.
The meeting will be an open house style meeting and will have displays and handouts for viewing. Citizens will have the opportunity to speak with SCDOT representatives and to provide written comments regarding the project. Additionally, SCDOT wishes to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area.

Project Purpose:
The purpose of the project is to correct the structural deficiencies associated with the existing S-152 (Manning Ave.) Bridge over CSX formerly SCL Railroad to meet current design standards. In an effort to expedite the time frame of the project and reduce construction impacts at this site, this will require closing the bridge and detouring traffic. Proposed detour information can also be found on the projects website.
