The I-20 Westbound off-ramp and on-ramp at Hwy 1 will be closed Wednesday night (1/5/22). Motorists wishing to exit I-20 Westbound at Exit 58 will be directed along the detour route to exit at Hwy 6 (Exit 55) to Two Notch Rd to Dooley Rd to Hwy 1.
The I-20 Ramp closure at Highway 1 (Exit 58) will occur at night:

Message board signs along Hwy 6, Dooley Rd, Two Notch Rd, and I-20 will display detour directions.
Motorists are advised to used caution and plan accordingly in case of delays.
The road work is part of a four-phase project to widen an 11-mile stretch of I-20 in Lexington County. The project extends from mile marker 60 near US 378 to mile marker 49 at Longs Pond Road. Upon completion, the project will add a third inside lane in both directions aimed at reducing traffic congestion. It is expected to be completed in the winter of 2021
