Short-Term Closure of SC-22 East Ramp Bridge over US-501 November 15, 2021 for Bridge Joint Rehabilitation

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will perform rehabilitation of the bridge expansion joints that will require a short temporary closure of the SC-22 East Ramp over US-501 in Horry County on Monday, November 15, 2021 beginning at 9:00 AM.  The bridge is expected to be reopened by 3:00 PM the same afternoon.

Note: Other ramps will remain open as normal. This means northbound traffic on US 501 will still be able to take SC 22 east, and westbound traffic from SC 22 will still be able to access US 501 as normal.

Detour information:

A detour will be posted using SC 319 from US 501 in downtown Aynor to the Conway Bypass (SC 22). Motorists are advised to plan ahead, use the posted detour, or an alternate route.
