Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 5-7 PM at The Phillips Market Center, located at 117 Ballard Court, West Columbia, SC. This is a drop-in meeting providing citizens with project displays and the opportunity to provide written comments. Formal verbal comments will not be taken during this meeting. Purpose:
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for citizens to review and discuss individually with representatives from SCDOT the proposed US 21 (Charleston Hwy) at S-1258 (Old Wire Rd) Safety Improvement Project in Lexington County. The proposed project will convert an existing 2-way stop intersection to a roundabout along the existing alignment that will meet current design requirements, eliminate crossing conflicts and improve safety. Another purpose of this public comment period is to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area. Personnel from SCDOT will respond to comments received during the public comment period.
