The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will hold a Public Information Meeting for a proposed bridge replacement in Spartanburg County, S-234 (Racetrack Rd) over Dildine Creek. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 5 pm-7 pm at the Woodruff City Hall Auditorium at 231 E. Hayne St., Woodruff, SC 29388. SCDOT staff will be available to discuss the concept design and project details, and members of the public will have an opportunity to provide written comments.
It is proposed that the bridge will be replaced on existing alignment and traffic will be detoured during construction. More information can be found on the project website

This project is part of SCDOT's 10 Year Strategic Plan that is focused on four programs, including bridge replacements, that will improve South Carolina's roads after more than 30 years of deferred maintenance due to lack of funding. SCDOT will replace or reinforce more than 465 structurally deficient bridges across the state by 2027.
