- [Instructor] Welcome to South Carolina's oversized and overweight permitting application. South Carolina Department of Transportation has upgraded the routing function of the application to easier define routes. Now a user can easily enter stops by typing in an address, enter a point of interest, map click, state line, stops, coordinates, recent, and favorites. When the user is in the route planner application a cornerstone panel will display, where the user may enter stops to define a route. This video is how to define a route. The user may now directly enter an address into the field next to the stop name. Notice the color of the balloon is red indicating this is not a validly defined stop. Select enter. Select the best choice. Notice the stop terms from red to green. The user may also enter a point of interest. Select the best option. Select generate. The user may step through the directions that will highlight and zoom toward those directions. The user may return to the cornerstone panel or back to the driving directions by selecting these icons. The user may enter a via point. The easiest way to do that is with a map click. The user may select by right clicking add via point. A list will populate. Select the best answer. Select generate route. And a safe route is returned. The user may save the route by selecting the save icon. And they must save the route. If we delete the route, we can easily pick the saved route back up again by selecting the highlight, and highlighting the record. Select load. The user will be required to regenerate the route. If a user would like to add another via point, they may, by selecting add via point, and they can enter a state line destination. Select enter. Pick the best entry. And if you would like to rearrange stops, you can. The user may generate the route. The user may also define a return path by selecting this button. And note that only the origin and the destination will display on the return path. By default, the routes will be collapsed, in order to expand them, just press the plus button. And I'm going to delete these routes by selecting the trashcan. I can also come in and define a recent stop and select it by highlighting it and selecting the OK button. Or I could do a favorite button as well. Must generate the route, and a safe route is returned. If I would like to clear one entry and not move the map I can select this clear instead and I can redefine a route different ways, but I could always set it with a new destination by selecting the right click button on the mouse. Again, I must regenerate the route. I'm going to delete the route and I'm going to zoom in. And I can either pick a map click from here by selecting it this way, or I'm a right-click select set destination, pick the correct entry and generate the route.
